I am the opposite. I have had a Glock longer than any other firearm, and now have two. I purchased a 1911 because you can't get in to heaven without one, and every collection should have one. Also because I think its cool to cock and decock the hammer. I have only taken it to the range once. I simply prefer the Glock over any other pistol I have tried. |
I have the soul - my firearms are tools, the Glock 19 is a great tool for what it does. |

I too was once in love with the little Black Ausrian Harlots!! THEN I FOUND SOME GOOD AMERICAN WOMEN AND FORSOOK GLOCK FOR EVER!! My glock, duty weapon no less developed a nasty habit of working it's assembly pins out of the side of the frame after 150 rounds or so. I have recently returned to polymer however with the advent of the Smith and Wesson M&P.40!! It just felt right, it's assembled right with roll crimp pins instead of straight assembly pins, it is relaible as hell, accurate and the grip is perfect and if its not change it it comes with three options!! But alas my only True and Never ending love is my 1911's!! |

I actually bought my first Glock last Friday, pretty much just so I would have a Glock in my collection. I ended up choosing the 19. I have a USP45c and could kick myself for buying the 19 instead of a USP9c. I mean the 19 is a good gun but......... They should make a commercial Like the V8, juice, commercial except when the lady hits you in the head she instead says "You could have had a USP!" |
I see you visited my thread.... ![]() It's All Good!... and other sayings that piss me off! |
Good for you. Sure, a lot police departments seem to have Glocks, most of the "named" gunwriters out there rave about them, but if it doesn't work for you, it doesn't. Spend your money on a Sig P-226 or 228 if you can find one. They have all the good points of a Glock and have better pointability too. Also, would you really want a gun made out of recycled milk cartons when you could have one made out of recycled beer cans? Otherwise, get a good 1911. Good luck on your next buy.

XD, hands down. Put one in your hand and the glock is a non issue. btw, didnt block file for bankruptcy? They lack R&D and basically still the same GREAT handgun, but their are better choices now. If you dont like the feel, dont get it. I thought mine felt great for 10 years until holding a XD one day in a store. Was like WTF....never heard of the XD but was sold on day one. Yet I still waited 2 maybe three years because I wanted to see if they were reliable and durable and if any artciles or feedback would come up. Needless to say, I bought one, then two, and want a third. For those that like the fit and feel of a glock, then by all means, go with a glock. Great handgun. Just not for me anymore. (feels really weird saying that, although I may pick me up a baby glock.) |

That is all, horse
