A caged lion takes his frustrations out.I feel bad for the lion,YMMV.IMO the lion could have torn that guy up any time he chose, but he chose not to. ***Blood, gore and death warning *** Here |
Don't kid yourself. Lions kill their prey by choking/suffocating them after they have been able to subdue them. It appears this is what was happening here and once the man was dead the lion whould have calmly begun eating him. |
Ya,I realize that.I guess I meant to say the lion didn't go for the kill right away.It looked like he went for the kill(neck) after the first shot was fired. |
+1 Lions and other WILD animals cannot realistically be expected to act rational or civilized. He was doing what lions do. It is their nature to kill and eat any available pray. Humans , on the other hand , are SUPPOSED to have enough damn sense not to get that close to a predatory animal.

Yes, I read it as once the lion felt the shot or perceived resistance it went into attack mode... Subduing its prey. I suspect the first few minutes, which went unrecorded, went like that as well. The blood on the floor and the leg wounds suggest that as well. |
Does anyone know how or why the man was in the cage in the first place?? |

I took it he was an Animal Trainer type. In the back of the cage against the wall, there were the stands, next to and under the table in the cage, they usually use for the lions to stand on. I guess he wan't much af a "Lion Tamer".... unfortunately the Officers revolver was a much more effective "Lion Tamer" |
