My wife and I are expecting our first child. She is insisting that I get a cabinet to lock up my firearms. I don't need or want a safe as my collection is relatively small. But, I would like a decent 8-10 gun cabinet. I would like to get one with a keypad on the front like the safes have. If I need to get something out in the middle of the night, I don't want to have to try and find a key in the dark. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

If you are getting a gun out in the middle of the night I assume you mean something to store guns in your bedroom.

Have you considered one of the in-wall gun safes such as in the links above? If you own your place this is do-able, otherwise probably can't get away with it in a rental unit due to the damage, unless you could replace the damaged sheetrock when you move and take the safe/gunlocker with you.....

Well, I lucked out and found a great deal on a Stack-On GS-810 safe with electronic lock. It was exactly what I was looking for. The dealer was awesome to deal with, and had a great price. If you are looking for any kind of safe, gun or otherwise, I highly recommend calling Jeff at The Safe Guy.
