What is the lightest, most comfortable vest out there suitable for everyday police work?  One of my friends refuses to wear one because he can't stand them.  He's one of those old stubborn police veterans.

I would probably say the Second Chance Ultima series (NIJ .04 rated).  Big bucks though.

I'll Third That Motion!  Second Chance IS THE BEST!  Also be sure to buy the ballistic armor inserts to stop high power rifle rounds!  These vests are comfortable & VERY good.

You've got to know they're good when a person from the company makes a video of him shooting himself in the chest with a .44 mag!  Damn good armor!

I don't get that...They wear all of that armor, but it doesn't do shit.  I mean Ewoks kick their asses with sticks and rocks for Heaven's sake!

It only stops hi-tech weapons I guess.  This suit will stop nuclear weapons, lasers, plasma rifles, but not rocks.
