So I bought my house in January, and low and behold it comes with a 20,000 gallon pool. It's an above ground, and the PO states it was purchased in 1999. It was covered for the winter and the water is actually very clear right now.

So here's where my problem lies - as the warmer weather creeps up on us CT folk, what do I have to do to this pool to get it ship-shape to swim in?

Does the pool have a cleaning pump? Even in winter, you have to maintain your water in tip top shape.
If not, you are going to have to test and treat the water yourself every 2 weeks in cold weather and way more often in summer.

Do not let it go bad, cleaning a pool full of algae is no fun at all.
