| What doe this problem sound like? My truck (2002 F150 v6 4.2 liter manual transmission 80,000 miles not 4 wheel drive.) makes a rapid clinking sound (metal on metal) when I give it gas and when I don’t give it gas when it is in the 25-30 mph range. It does this regardless of what gear I am in. When I am in the 65-70 range it is more of a squealing sound. The sound is not constant and comes and goes through out the drive, I don’t notice the sound being made any more or less when I’m accelerating or cruising. Well off to the mechanics it goes, just wondering what to expect. |
