What do you guys think of this knife as more of a backup?  I would think that it would be quite easy to conceal on the small of the back due to its sleakness, and yet offer quite a bit more reach than my pocket folder (cold steel prolite).  Thanks.

Looks like a fish skinging knife.

Weak blade, weak tip.

440A is some pretty cheap steel.

i would not buy a CRKT blade again. that model only has 440A blade steel as well. for 99$ you can get a very nice quality spyderco or benchmade made with a real bladesteel.

my CRKT rusted to hell with regular pocket carry in 2 months, under the same conditions my S&W 440c lasted years under without a spec of rust, and which my current benchmade 735 154cm has lasted a while under in perfect condition as well.

I carry a fixed blade in a horizontal kydex sheath on my belt.

The knife is made by Bob Dozier out of D2 steel.

Definitely worth checking out if you want a fixed blade, but the wait time for one is a hassle.

My grandfatherinlaw is making knives out of D2.

I'm learning the skill.

That knife looks more like a kitchen knife or fillet knife than anything else.

I'm not sure you should use "quite easy to conceal" when talking about a knife that is over a foot long.

Wouldn't be legal here in CO. You can't conceal a knife longer than 3.5" here.
