Anyone aware of the legality of these? I did a search on ATF's web site, and found mostly articles about when they used gas while doing entries. I found only one mention saying that tear gas ammunition is not covered by the gun control act. It doesn't say if it is covered by something else, however. It also definitley doesn't say it's legal. Here is the link:(it is in section A4) http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm I also find only reference to explosive, not CS gas or OC geneades in my sate code. Thanks. |

You can get gas grenades at many places. Fox Labs OC grenades To be clear, these are not the same ones that the l33t units use. |
Heres a old thread with some links enclosed- www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=546099 I know they are legal in FLorida, not sure about Tx |
Cool, 'preciate it |
OC pepper spray is NOT the same thing as CS tear gas. Check gun shows, you can usually find surplus smoke or CS grenades in the $50 range. |
Yeah, that's why I said "gas" grenades, not CS. |
Legal in TX. |

And yet, those aren't gas grenades either. They're cans of pepper spray that begin spraying IN YOUR HAND and continue to spray after you let them go. Not the same thing by any stretch of the imagination. Still, OC spray grenades are better than nothing, I suppose. |
