This is not good, if true...I guess we'll see sooner or later. HH ---------------------------------- US fears Iran has long-range Russian missiles By JPOST.COM STAFF The US fears Iran received missiles capable of hitting US naval vessels in the Persian Gulf, Israel Radio quoted a sources in Washington on Tuesday. The missiles, Russian-made FFM-22 missiles, are capable of reaching a speed of Mach 2 and can be fitted with tactical nuclear warheads. The US suspects Iran acquired FFM-22s from Russia at the end of the Cold War, the source said. |

I'm a little more than concerned that our ships will be at a greater risk than we earlier thought. These missiles were acquired 'at the end of the Cold War' ...I think the conversation should be: What kind of damages can Iran inflict on us and the UK if/when we attack. HH |
| Okay I can understand the fear of them strapping some nuclear warheads to some long range missiles....I can also understand the fear of them being able to reach out and touch our vessels....but seriously...would they seriously use a nuclear warhead to destroy one fucking ship?....but then again...they aren't the brightest bunch |
In other news, I'm willing to take a shot in the dark and state that Iran fears our missiles as well. Go search for "mutual assured destruction". It kept us safe from the Soviet nuclear arsenal for DECADES, and we're still here. |
Once again... MAD only works when both sides fear the losses they'd take. You can't play "MAD" with a culture that glorifies suicide bombers... |
|
Don't worry boys, those missiles will be blown up or forced to launch prematurely before our ships are actually in danger. |
That could likely be the answer. Sure seems like the media is flooded with Iranian news lately, and it's getting worse. Nothing like preparing people for other actions.... HH |
First time I've heard it called and FFM-22. I'll let the chicken littles go on. I don't feel like explaining this....again.
