NRA2 Team Member Joined :: February 2005 Post Number :: 541 ID, USA -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have a beef with a different slant on whatever G&A or any other mag covers. A bit of history from a newbie to civilian AR's although I carried a M16 in a previous life. I had a Colt sporter in 7.62x39 and my accu wedge fit but there was this stupid block in the lower receiver? As I learned more I purchased a couple of stripped lower receivers from this site. They were great quality but my accuwedge didn't fit like on my Colt. I then find out that most of the mfgs. are fucking up a perfectly legal "lower shelf" AR for some stupid PC reason and did NOT say that in their adds. I won't name names but it's most of you. I would NEVER buy another lower from anybody on this site that wasn't a true lower shelf AR! I think that there is some false advertising here for the "purists" like me. There is no way anybody with half a brain is going to convert their lower to full auto just because they don't have to grind out some of the lower receiver to do it. I feel duped and am pissed off by my ignorance. I don't expect a fudd mag to go into such detail but I DO expect those details from the industry partners on this site. I don't give a shit how much teflon, parkerized under the front site, pretty safe, fire auto this and that that these guys market, I want something as close to what the guys in the services are using and still be legal. I will only be buying stuff from CMMG from now on. They are honest with their adverstising. I won't buy a Colt or any other gun from anybody that doesn't advertize honestly on what the fuck I'm really getting. |
How much you wanna make a bet I can throw a football over them mountains?... Yeah... Coach woulda put me in fourth quarter, we would've been state champions. No doubt. No doubt in my mind. ![]() |
