Anyone know how to REMOVE search engines from the dropdown list next to the search window? The HELP tells how to add them, but nothing about removing them. Maybe they are not causing a problem, but I got some I never asked for -- eBay, Amazon, CC, etc. That kinda irks me, and I'd like to get rid of them on general principles. Next, there was a Computerworld article "10 Firefox Extensions to Avoid" (a companion to "20 must-have..."). However, it seems to now be gone, at least you get a 404 error from the CW links to it. Can anyone link to where it's mirrored / archived?? And finally, what's the word on the newer versions of Firefox? Are there problems? Big advantages? Frankly, even though I'm about .5 versions behind, I see no burning need to upgrade, it doesn't crash much & I still prefer it over IE. Thanks, PRK |
click on the down arrow next to the icon for the search engines, at the bottom of the list should be "manage search engines", click it and then remove the ones you don't want. Can't help you with the others, sorry |
