Have these been outlawed in any states yet?

Assuming they conform to the states blade length laws, are they considered the same as a dirk or dagger?

Why would a fixed blade knife hung from the neck be treated differently than an identical knife carried elsewhere?

The "arrested for tactical folder" thread gave me the idea for this one.

You know the drill. Bunch of idiots (in KA/NJ/MA for instance) decide that this knife is "illegally configured" as a concealable fighting knife, so it has no sporting purpose or some such shit.

Just wondering if that had happened somewhere. From what I saw on the other thread, knife laws are as labyrinthine as gun laws.

In many states, *concealed* fixed-blade knives are illegal.  In the PRK, any knife worn on the belt is considered NOT concealed, whether you can see it or not.  Any other fixed-blade must be visible.

So, you could wear a neck knife, but you couldn't legally wear it under a shirt, etc.

I like the Executive NRGS.

I don't even know what the laws are in CA any more.  I've heard so many different things.  I've had a friend get arrested because his pocket knife ( don't even think it was a locking knife ) was partially hidden under a shirt on his belt.

I've heard that only non locking folders are legally concealed, but that would be against the logic the police officer arrested my friend.

It probably depends on the different PDs more than anything.

You can be arrested at any time for any reason (don't kid yourself).  Being *convicted* is something else.
