On sunday I and some others went to see the movie 300. I loved it! anyway after the movie I was asked if it "really happened". Well yes, I replaid, the 300 Spartans really did hold the pass at Thermopylae against thousands of Persians. Thus saving Greek civilazation and democracy for us.
But, suppose it had never happened? No Greece, no greek philosophy, no New Testament, no Byzantine empire to hold back the Ottomans from Europe. Would we today be Muslims?

...what would've been the consequences for Western civilaztion had the battle never taken place?

The Muslims came about 550 AD.

We don't know how Mohamed was influenced by Romans/Christians, anyway, so he may not have even have happened.
