The Bush team sure seems to make political decisions to benefit corporations at the expense of everyone else. Are you sure that it isn't the republicans that support the total merging of economic and political systems in this country? Me: Ahh, yes. You see, it is the governments job to support and protect interstate commerce as well as our stature in the global economy. Your condemnation of Bush and his cronies, as you so eloquently phrased it, is unjustified as the presidential staff are merely doing their jobs when it involves interstate commerce and our aspect of the global economy. Where as socialized medicine and welfare are NOT aspects of the federal government as envisioned and enacted by our founding fathers. There are very clear and concise directions for our government. It was spelled out in the Constitution and clarified in the Federalist Papers. I understand that you might feel that these things are the governments responsibility and you are partially correct. However it is NOT the federal governments job to provide these things, it is the STATES job as an individual to provide for its citizens as they have voted to do. Having the federal government involved in our healthcare/welfare/jobs etc and ad nausium is a sure fire way to screw things up. Just look at public schools, the biggest failure of our federal government Them: No response... |
