US Special Forces and the SAS are already in Afganistan and have been "for awhile".  Anyone surprised? (I think that's why we call it recon)

Didn't someone report last week that a SAS patrol had "bumped into" some Afghanis?

Personally, I feel the media and general public knows too much about special operations.  The fact is the press doesn't know jack-taco what's going on.  Just irresponsible arm-waving for attention IMO.  Gun camera footage = cool for the news... letting on about operators on the ground = bad.

The British press were handed that story by the British military.
Why would the military want to announce to the world that their recon team had screwed up?
It's misinformation.
It's nice to see the Brit press cooperating in the war effort.

I had read on the teletype that we were "IN",
