A little over a month ago, I reported one of the numerous efforts to obtain my eBay information. As a result, eBay suspended me. I wrote emails and letters giving my telephone number and requesting a call. No one called. I was re-instated for a few days. Then I was suspended again. I have tried to have some one from Ebay or Payal call me. I have been unsuccessful. Ebay ran many false charges on my credit card billing that I had received yesterday. Most had the same transaction number. Many had been caught and reversed by the credit card company on the bill itself. I was unaware that any charges were being made or reversed. Now, yesterday, I received the same email from the same crooks that I reported over a month ago without answering. I reported it to eBay. No response. I shake my head in amazement about the lack of control by the people at eBay.com. If I were the boss, I would strongly consider about hiring different security people.

I had some Romanian guy try to scam me on a used laptop auction recently. He closed the auction immdiately after my bid, then emailed me and said I was the high bidder (even though the auction was closed) and sent me a phony invoice that had ebay logos on it threatening to close my account if I didn't pay immediately via WESTERN UNION, no paypal or credit cards accepted.  I reported it to Spoof@Ebay, they replied immediately that it was a hoax. |
