What does the "Hive Mind (tm)" recommend for a decent general purpose pessure washer? HP, PSI and $ ?

It will be used to clean the house before painting and the just used for general muddy truck and dirtbike cleaning.

I was just looking at the EXCEL and Dewalt brand at HD and there is a huge price jump between the two. Is it woth the extra $.

Get the 5hp unit from this page

We sell that one for $479.

It is a dealer only item, so use that dealer locator and find a dealer near you.

Karcher has done a great job of getting the distributors that don't service equipment off of their list of dealers. You want someone who can fix it when it's broke.

Clean water, clean fuel, and don't let the pump by-pass too long and you will eliminate 90% of the repairs we do.

Karcher owns and manufactures Landa, and Hotsy.

Thanks TBK1.....I know a little.

I have a 6.5 Honda with a AV pump that I bought at HD.  I think I paid $700.

I wouldn't get anything less, and sometimes wish I would have bought the 13hp one.

I'm over here on the Western slope of CO and there are no dealers. They shouldn't be hard to repair if you can get parts easily.

Are the pumps sevicable or throw away?

What's your zip? I'll find you a dealer.

The pumps are easily serviced.

They have a Karcher at Harbor freight but its a verticle crank shaft engine and pump, $400.  I think it was 6.5 hp.

Still shopping.
