When I was in high school I did one of those on “how to make moonshine”
(What can I say, my whole family, going back several generations is from Tennessee.)

If i did the how to make moonshine, then after the speech I could hand out the final product. Enough moonshine and I'd be sure to get an A

I did this once about 20 years ago. Topic was "How to do your laundry."

Lots of do this, then do that.  Took one of my daughter's Barbie shirts, held it up and said, "Listen folks, just because it's white, like your underwear, doesn't mean that it gets washed in hot, then tumble-dried. This used to be my wife's wool sweater!" Read the care tag!

Was a lot of fun. Have a good time with it.  Do something entertaining and memorable. Remember who your audience is and play to them.

Three stages to a speech: Tell them what you are going to tell them. Then tell them. Then tell them what you told them.

Three steps to giving a speech: Be sincere. Be brief. Be seated.
