Just saw a segment on our local news.

Troops are using Silly String to locate trip wires when they clear houses in the dark.   The sting shoots out about 10 feet from the can, and is too light to trip the wires, and allows them to be seen.

Yeah, actually old news.
For a brief period when troops were first going through government installations in Iraq I saw it listed on those care package lists to send troops. I never hear about it now though.

Back in the good old days, we just took captured enemy and shoved them across suspect areas.
