CHICAGO - - The Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) is mourning
the loss of long time friend, Mr. Hal Inglis, who passed away at
his Fox River Grove home late last week at the age of 63.
A staunch supporter of the individual right to keep and bear arms,
Mr. Inglis served as the president of the McHenry County Gun Owners
Association and was a tireless recruiter for the ISRA at gun shows
and other public events.
Active in his community, Hal was an Algonquin Township Councilman
at the time of his death and had previously served as a volunteer
firefighter for the Fox River Grove and Romeoville fire
departments. An outstanding American, Mr. Inglis served with
distinction in the United States Air Force.
"Hal served as an inspiration to everyone he worked with,"
commented ISRA president Richard Pearson. "He worked hard for what
he believed in and it showed. You can never have too many guys
like Hal Inglis on your side. He will be greatly missed."
Funeral services were private. Memorial donation information may
be obtained by calling the Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, (815)
459-1760.
