Just received this letter from Tom Allen(D) of Maine......

Dear Friend,

The New Direction for America that House Democrats promised is already underway.  In the first 100 hours of the new Congress, we passed legislation that addresses challenges facing middle and working class Americans.  In fact, we completed this agenda in just 42 hours and 25 minutes.  Among other measures, we gave hard-working Americans the raise they deserve, ended the culture of corruption, and made it easier for families to send their children to college.  We have made your priorities the priorities of Congress, and we will continue to do so.

Now that the first 100 hours are over, I would like to ask you to take a moment to fill out the brief survey below.  Make your voice heard.  What would you like to see us address next and during the remainder of the 110th Congress?

Any information you provide is confidential and will not be shared.  If an issue of concern to you is not covered by this survey, please feel free to contact my office.  My door is always open.

If you are having trouble viewing or filling out the survey please click here.

Sincerely,
Tom Allen

U.S. Representative
1st District of Maine

*Hmmm, done in 42 hrs and goofed off the remaining 58. Now they are out of ideas
and looking for input. Glad to hear the Dems are squeaky clean on that whole corruption thing.....

How's that retreat and surrender plan working out for ya?

I used to think they they worked for us.

Now, I see that it's the other way around.
Thanks for clearing that up, Tom.

It's the end of Feburary and they're just now announcing that the first 100 hours is over.   Silly me for thinking 100 hours would take just a little over four days.

It gets better. Here is question one of the survey. Note the top listed "priority".

1. Which of the following should be the top priorities of the 110th Congress? (May choose multiple)

Address global warming

Close the gap in Medicare Part D coverage (often referred to as the Donut Hole)

Enact meaningful pension reform

End the conflict in Iraq

Pass comprehensive immigration reform

Reauthorize and fully fund No Child Left Behind

Strengthen the nation’s military and improve homeland security

gee, im so proud of them for getting through the first 100 hrs...im sure it was rough, how much of it did they actually sit in for, 10 hrs?  what a freakin joke.  now the questions that come up as to waht would u like us to focus on...global warming?  congress can change that?  oh wait...no they cant, but the can talk about it.  i really think that little survey is to check to see if ur liberal or conservative, cause everything on the list is ether very liberal, for the elderly, or the last one on the list, which is a more conservative way of thinking...if this guy was my congressman, i would ask him not to waste  my tax dollars on the postage to send this garbage out

Crafty little bastages....aren't they. It would be more satisfying to tell him to go 'F himself
but I don't want the track back ping on my i.p. address.
