Has anybody ever tried loading SS109 (green tip)bullets into a .220 Swift or .22-250? If so, I'm interested in how much the extra velocity aided in penetration of steel and other substances.

Most of the rifles in these calibers have rifling twist rates too slow for these bullets. A 1 in 9" twist is normally the minimum for this bullet.
