Anyone else experience this.  My anti-virus is picking up as having tracking cookies?  My laptop is doing the same thing, so I know it's not from surfin porn (have not surfed ANY porn on the laptop.  So what's the deal here?  Is anyone else having problems with this, or is Goatboy tracking my pron surfing ???

Dude.. Cookies aren't all bad.  When you log in, the site pops a cookie on your machine so it can tell that you are you.

It doesn't harm anything, it doesn't track your web usage off this site, and it just doesn't even matter.

I'll never understand why people get so hung up on cookies but frequently ignore more serious threats.  Maybe it's the cute name.

yeah, i know what cookies are, and that they are fine.  But this is the first time my antivirus has picked up "tracking cookies"  .  Is there a difference, or are these the same as regular cookies.

No, It's actually bullshit sites I've never been to (probably advertisement crap) but I believe I've got it narrowed down to AR15.com.

They came up as tracking cookies.  I removed them, then ran a scan again.  Did some more surfing (NOT ARFCOM) and then I ran another scan, nothing.  I logged into Arfcom, then ran another scan and BINGO-tracking cookies.  The same thing is coming up on my laptop too, and Ar15.com is damn near the only thing I have surfed on it.  (fairly new, and I've only used it a handful of times.  So I'm pretty sure it's coming from here...
