With Windows XP how can you limit what programs start up and run in the background when you boot up?

With XP Home, you can disable the entire list and not have any problems. Of course if there are any programs that you want to keep then keep them, but I shut down the whole Startup Tab on my machine, too much crap running.

your right you cAN disable the whole list along with your antivirus and any other protection software on your computer
