I am 33 never had any eye problems but in the last week or so my right eye has had double vision and blurry vision. I have an eye appointment on monday 2-12, but any eye docs out there have an idea? Kinda freaky when your vision goes kaput suddenly on you. I noticed when looking down sights I saw 2 images! one above the other.WOW. If I cover left eye up I can really tell. I will see a word then the same work superimposed over it but a little higher. freaky. So any guesses or diagnosis?

I had a friend that was just like that.  Two days later...dead.  Sorry bro.

I'm not an optometrist or an optomologist (and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn), but you may have a retina becoming detached.

I had two friends just in the last 6 months that had detached retinas... GO TO THE DR NOW!!!

they got it early and they are doing fine.

Double vision is nothing to fuck around with.

Log off.... go to the dr... tell us what happens when you get back.... BYE!!!

Just called good doctor friend, he is setting up appointment with colleague. Possible retina, cornea issue.

I had this when I was like 10-11, basically everything was double. The problem was the eye doctor said everything was fine, so I went to the hospital they did a CAT scan and said nothing there unusual. They thought it was a sign of migraines, but without the pain often related.

My dad lost some sight in his right eye, double vision, blurredness, waited about a week and went to the dr., he had a stroke that passed a clot into the main artery going into his eye.
GO TO THE DR. NOW !!! dont ask medical questions on a gun board, eye problems could be an underlying problems to some serious shit such as you brain, heart and lungs
ETA: new veins are trying to grow to compensate for the blood flow making it very painful so they are considering taking out his eye

Feeling down n dirty, feeling kinda mean
Ive been from one to another extreme
This time I had a good time, aint got time to wait
I wanna stick around till I cant see straight

Fill my eyes with that double vision, no disguise for that double vision
Ooh, when it gets through to me, its always new to me
My double vision gets the best of me

Never do more than I really need
My mind is racing, but my bodys in the lead
Tonights the night, Im gonna push it to the limit
I live all of my years in a single minute

Fill my eyes with that double vision, no disguise for that double vision
Ooh, when it gets through to me, its always new to me
My double vision always seems to get the best of me - the best of me, yeah

Ooh, double vision, I need my double vision
It takes me out of my head, takin me out of my head
I get my double vision, oh, seeing double double
Oh, I have double vision, yeah, Im getting double vision... (to fade)

Sounds like a potential retinal detachment.  Ophthalmologist ASAP.

Fun huh?

Don't sweat it man.  I just SRP'd with my unit (At 43yrs) and, while I'm still a 20/15 on anything further away than my arms can reach....I'm wearing reading glass' just to be able to type this!

I had an issue with my left eye last year. I lost partial vision in it for a couple of hours. I went to the ER and I got a CAT scan, MRI, followed by a two day examination, but they never did find out what happened.
It got better and I haven't had any other problems since then. They did say that if it should happen again to go straight to the ER.
I hope everything works out for you.

Wow.

I have double vision all the time due to having a lazy eye surgically straightened out as a child.  I have to have both eyes open to see it.  If I let myself I can see two of everything, kind of like Clarence the Cross-Eyed Lion on the old Daktari TV show, although the image from my bad eye is less bright.

Not to diminish the OPs shock too much, I can't imagine any condition requiring just reading glasses to be anywhere near the experience I have when I hear the term "double vision".
