Metalform. Nobody's name on 'em. No fancy price tag. Just mags that work.

I have the best luck with McCormic 10 rnd mags. for standard ones I like the Ed Brown. I just bought 2 Mitchel 10 rnd mags they work good but for some reason I just don't like them

I just bought some Wilson mags for my Colt. They are by far and away the BEST. The quality is top-notch. No Fear with these. Well worth the cost![^]

Only my opinion, but the McCormacks that came with my Kimber have tighter springs then the Wilson mags. the mccormacks sit flush in the mag well and the wilsons stick out about 1/4 inch.BTW Kimber Ultra Carry. mmk

Is it a good idea to have a lanyard loop on a mag?

Chip McCormick Shooting Star SS. For the money and long time function, they can't be matched. Best mag springs, too. (I also have Wilsons, but at twice the price, and absolutlely no better in any way than the McCormick.)

The US military did away with lanyard looped 1911 mags after WWI. Believe jc121 was pulling your leg. Never had problems with Wilson or McCormick 1911 mags in my Colt.
