| I need a new Bluetooth headset and I would like to know what's out there. I'm a salesman I'm at a customer's/in a car all day so I need good battery life. I've recently been using the scala 500, but for some reason it will not work with the new Samsung Blackjack. So I'm asking which one do you have or have had and what are the pros & cons. Thanks for the help. |

i have a jabra bt500 that i have been very happy with. battery life has been equal to or better than my phone. i use it about 45 min a day and i charge it about twice a week. most of the time it's nowhere near dead when i recharge it. it's comfortable and has the benifit of fitting inside the ear so it can still be heard in noisy enviornments. |

another good recommendation for Jabra.... I have the older version "The_Beer_Slayer" has the BT250V I'm in outside sales and am on the road all day most times and I've never run it's battery down. The reception/clarity is great, and most people you talk to have no idea you're on a Bluetooth. Personally..... I ONLY wear mine in the car for safeties sake of both hands on the wheel, and can still take care of minor business details. I don't like to wear it in public just walking around. I've had friends with problems with some of their Motorola versions. Pour sound quality (both ends), dropping connectivity etc... YMMV |

I'm using a Motorola unit... the one with the flip out earpeice. I like it because when you close the earpeice part, it shuts off. Comes on when you open it, and connects to my phone quickly. Quick enough that if it's ringing, I can flip it open, slide it on my ear and answer the call. Sound quality is good, can get rough depending on interferance. Haven't had to run it until the battery dies, but I think it's supposed to give 6 to 8 hours of talk time? I'd recommend the moto stuff. The Jabra headsets do have a good reputation, tho. |

I have a Plantronics Voyager 510 and I really like it. It comes with several sizes of ear tips so you can select the best fit. I use it fairly frequently with my Razr and it works great. Doesn't need to be charged a lot either. It's bigger than some and smaller than others I've seen. Dave |
