My Ipod has started skipping on every song, and now won't let me turn it off by pressing and holding the bottom of the wheel. Is there a way to reboot this bitch before I throw it through a window?

Plug it into your computer and launch the OEM iPod updater software, there is a reset option in there.

Yea hold on and I'll look up the reset sequence..

ETA- toggle the hold switch on and off, then press and hold "Menu" and the center "Select" button at the same time.  Hold 'em until the apple logo appears.

Taken from this apple tech document.

Weird problem!

Here's a hard restart for your ipod:

Switch hold button to on, switch off, switch on, then off again. Immediately after push and hold the center button and the play button.

If you did it correctly you should see the apple logo.

Learn to do the hard reset anyway.  The thing might freak out one day and you'll be glad you did, and chicks dig guys who can help them with a hung iPod.
