So I'm browsing through my TV's interactive program guide, searching for good shows about guns and shooting on the Outdoor Channel, Military Channel, etc. I have seen a couple of programs that looked pretty cool, like Futureweapons and Firepower, but these shows encompass a wide variety of military hardware, not just firearms per se. Shows that I HAVE seen that deal only in firearms and shooting seem really...lacking...to me, for a host of reasons. Shooting USA is one such show that will, every once in a while, have some interesting segments about black rifles, NFA, etc, but just not as much as I would like. Then there's shows like Guns and Ammo TV, where they deep-fry 1911s and sing the praises of all things Ruger. ![]() I am thinking about putting together a nicely done pilot of a kick-ass gun show which will focus on all nature of EBRs, combat handguns, and other such hardware that not only LE and military use, but also stuff that the average Joe Blow can get his hands on. I'd like to include some CGI diagrams of how the different guns work and augment them with quantitative information. Naturally, there would be a healthy amount of demonstrations and chicky snacks to model the guns and gear that would be on the show. On top of being supremely entertaining, I figure this would be a great way to give some exposure to the names of the businesses/industry partners that frequent ARFCOM. Not only that, but if it became popular, it might just help to spread the belief in the RKBA. Too long have guns been demonized by Hollyweirdos and politicians. It's time Colt, Bushmaster, Armalite, and Trijicon became household names. I don't have the best camera equipment, but I have a vision, and I can edit pretty decently. So how about it ARFCOM? Good idea, or not? |
