Personal orders will go out no later than the 20th, I apologise for the delay. That having been said, I have not been around the boards of late in large part because of this effort. Nearly 6500 community members between 3 boards viewed this link and 10 generous people were moved enough to contribute. It saddened me to no end. My Brother in Law is anticipating 100-500 calenders for those stationed in Ramadi as part of the 3rd ID. I will see my word come to fruition; I was just under the impression that I would have the support of my beloved community do so. As I stare at a closet full of $20 t-shirts that I would gladly purchase 10 times over for the benefit of another member I am disheartened by the response to my call. That is all. jenn |
I understand your disappointment; however, I believe it is misinformed. You did very well for internet advertising, to a group that probably already dedicates alot of their personal resources to the troops. Of the 6500 lets say, and I'll be generous, 25% did not see your call. That leaves 4875 that saw it. Of that 10 gave, .2%. Not bad. Direct mail has only a 1.5% return. Suppose you had got the word out to 50,000. You would have 100 givers. 1,000,000 would have equaled 2000. Don't be disappointed, you did good. You just need to reach more eyes. And you have to be repetitive. I would wager many that wanted to had forgot or misplaced the info or just got busy with life. Keep up the good work. |
