My wife has planned to go into the MARINE CORPS for about a year now her only obstacle was her weight. She has lost all of the weight except the last 7-8 pounds. I am wanting to go back into the service when the war breaks out. My wife says that's not fair and she should go because I've had my chance to serve my country  and its her turn. I said I was  better at playing soldier and at least I could go to  combat arms. She is going MP. We have no family to watch our 7yr old so only one of use can go I said since I can sign up today I will just quit my job and go she said she would divorce me and she would leave our daughter with friends and go. The friends are liberal and I don't want them raising my child. currently I'm an LEO so my wife says I'm already doing my part for the country so I should back off and let her do hers. So who should go me or her?

She's been planning to go in for a year, you just decided. Point to her. She's going to be an MP, which frees up a guy to go combat. Point to her. I've been a single father for 16 yrs, you can raise the kid as well as she can.

She was headed there first.
