Does anybody here have the Swiss Diablo wireless mouse? I like the features except that it eats batteries. I have had it since Christmas and I am already on my third set.  Wondering if I should take it back and get a different brand (Microsoft) or something with a cord.

Thanks...

Did you get the mouse with your computer or order it later on?

I've got a Logitec wireless mouse & keyboard & I use rechargables in it, I probably get a month of use before I have to recharge it. The Keyboard goes at least 6 months probably longer.

I have the Logitech MX revolution.  It comes with a charging stand.  It's pretty decent.

Sounds like I have a defective mouse then if you fellas are getting longer battery life out of your wireless products.

I have a Logitech cordless optical mouse; at minimum I use it 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, I replace its batteries about once every 3 months.  It has excellent sensitivity, I have yet to find a surface the mouse cannot read from, and I've beat the hell out of it too.  IMHO, Logitech makes the best mice.

Do the batteries actually run down, or is the software telling you that the batteries are low?  I had a problem with my Microsoft wireless mouse software telling me that my batteries were low when they were not.  I reloaded the software and the problem was solved.

Try the used batteries in a flashlight or something to make sure they are really discharged and go from there.  Good luck.

I received one of these for Christmas. After using the Microsoft Intellipoint for 3 years,(which is an awesome mouse) I love the Logitech MX. It is very "fluid". YMMV.

+1 on the microsoft mouse from best buy.  My kids beats the everlivin crap out of it and it's great on battery life.  Plus, it's something that will alway be at best buy until the end of time.  If it ever breaks just go buy a new one and return the broken for a refund.

3 sets of batteries since Christmas? Something is not right. (obviously) I know... I am the master of the obvious.

Another testimonial for Logitech here. I think I change the batteries once every 6 months.. And I just changed the one in the keyboard about a week ago... I think that one lasted about 8-12 months

I'm using the Microsoft 3000 wireless optical notebook mouse.

I love the thing. It's very durable. Accurate enough for fine pixel work in GIMP or Photoshop and unlike many of the mice designed for use with laptops, it's compact but still large enough to fit the hand well.

Battery life, from the single AA ranges from one to three months, depending on whether I just leave the thing on all the time, on my computer desk or am turning it on and off traveling.

The diablo eating batteries like Rosie oh fat in an ice cream parlor is not isolated. A quick google search provided lots of customer reviews describing the diablo as a POS mouse.  Thanks for all the advice. I am going to Best Buy right now to exchange this thing......

I have a Microsoft Laser mouse and it finally needed a battery replacement after around 8 months.  And I use it a lot.

For the OP:  Can you configure the settings on your mouse to have it go into sleep mode when it's not in use?  Maybe it's constantly on and searching for nonexistant signals while you're not actually using the computer.
