Since the other thread was locked, I would like to state my point... 1. Can you contribute to pro-gun causes through Amazon.com? They allow you to donate a portion of your purchase to the Brady Campaign, but do the allow you to donate a portion of your purchase to the NRA? Does Amazon.com provide links to any charities/special intrest groups that request them, or only groups that they approve of? ETA - Apparently you can: www.nra.org/shopping.aspx 2. Just because you can purchase items from Amazon.com without directly dontating a portion of your purchase to the Brady Bunch, doesn't mean that they aren't giving money to the Bradys. You can buy a Ford without donating a portion of your purchase to La Raza, but Ford does contribute to La Raza. |

Entire original post quoted well, i didn't see the original thread, but i don't think companies (or individuals) ever *accidentally* put any other organization on their "would you care to contribute to" list. ETA: if they put the bradys on their list of acceptable organizations to contribute to, they did so because they like the work the bradys do... |
