I looked on the help page, but missed this if it was there.

What I am looking for is a way to enter a thread and get to the first unread post. I see the icon for going to the last post of the thread, but I hate to work backwards to find the spot where I left off. Is there an icon for this that I am simply not seeing?

To explain, given that some of the threads here go on for many pages, I can find myself returning to a thread over the course of several days. It would be convenient to be able to go to the same page where I left off the last time I visited. Other boards that I visit have this feature, but I haven't spotted it yet here. Am I blind as well as stupid?

Thanks in advance!

That icon goes to the bottom of the last PAGE.

The last post just happens to be sitting there.

Are you saying you want the site to be able to record how far down a page you scrolled and then take you back there later?

To try to describe it better, some forums have an icon to take you to the first post that was made since you last visited the site. Very handy tool, especially on threads that may add several pages a day. An example can be found on the forums on www.advrider.com, which is a motorcycle forum site. Of course, this only works for when you are logged in. I grabbed a section of the screen...

The floating text that pops up when mousing over where the cursor is in the pic says "Go to first new post" - this is what I am looking for. The orange arrow icon on the right-hand side mouseover text says "Go to last post" which is what we already have on AR15.

Doesn't seem to work with this forum engine.
Tag if someone actually knows how.

Goatboy hand-wrote 100% of the code for AR15.com.  To date, that isn't a feature offered by the site.  There's a Site Suggestions forum; you could post there requesting it.
