I've been told that ya can get a "used" sleep number bed at a outstanding price if ya just know where to look.

I can't find anything about em on the website or a phone number of any kind.

I've tried calling sleep number and they say they have no idea what I'm talking about.

Does anybody have a phone number for the "used and returned" sleep number beds??

I slept on one in a very nice hotel.  That one had a fabric pad and cover over the airbag that could not be removed.   It's an item that needs to be new.

From what I understand, the ones they sell as "used" are the ones that people do not keep & ship back to the factory before the 30 day trial is over. Then they remove the padding & put new padding on, but use the same "air bags" so they don't loose money on the deal & ya can purchase these at a substantial savings over new beds.

These are the same beds that mold grows in the air chambers, right?

Had ours for 5 years, best use of a couple thousand dollars I ever spent.

Mold? no.

Never heard about used ones, saw a knock off once don't buy those. The air bags are very different.

I have one, The sales guy explained the differences from the bottom to top models. Basiclly you can buy the base model and a foam eggcrate mattress pad and one of the 2" memory foam pads and have upper-middle of the road unit for a lot less than they charge. Pillow tops another story. They offer 2 types of pumps and control units, once you set the bed you never look at the "number" again so don't pay for a digital readout on the hand control. The 2 types of pumps are a choice between quiet and not so quiet.

I think they just sent me coupons for a referall, I don't give a shit about thier incentives, however it will save you some cash if I didn't shit-can them.

Would the money have to be tightened?

What's a good wrench to use to tighten money?  Anybody know?

The beds are great, let's two different people get comfy.  My wife is a 40, I am a 90 on the firmness, huge difference.  One thing I never considered until I bought the bed, the sleep number is only correct with BOTH people in the bed.  With only one person on the bed, the pressure of one chamber pushes the other in a bit and lowers the chamber you are laying on.

We spent close to $5K on their top of the line model. The controls would magically reset themselves during the night so you might start out on a #70 and wake up with a #30 setting. Even when it worked correctly we didn't sleep very well.

Needless to say we returned it and are shopping yet again.

Never again will l spend so much money for 2 air mattresses and a few pieces of foam.
