I've got a new PC, and Windows Media Player isn't playing video properly - the audio is ok, but the video is all distorted - very blobby, only colors are purple, blue, and green. This happens when trying to open an mpeg from the hard drive or stream video from a site. Anyone know how to fix this? ETA: It's Windows Media Player Series 9. |
Video decoder is missing. When that happens, you'll get the audio, but it will just play some sort of graphical smudge that times to the music. First thing I'd do is go to www.divx.com and download that codec. A LOT of videos are being done using that video codec. If that doesn't work....I'd look for different codec packs around the net and try them. |
| That and a free upgrade to Windows Media Player 11 wouldn't go amiss.... Download here |
