I was reading the news on my cell phone today and saw this story. www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/12/12/iran.holocaust.conference.reut/index.html Why does it seem everyone hates Israel? What have they done that is so horrible, that the entire middle east and a lot of the world refuses to recognize them as a separate country? All the middle eastern countries seem hell bent to destroy them? Why do they feel they need to force their religion on them or kill them? I'm sure the answer is in the bible, but I haven't been to church as much as I should have. |
| Repressed anti-semetism on the part of Europeans and jealousy on the part of the Palistinians that the Israelis turned the desert green. Arabs hate them because now they have to deal with the Palestinians, and its helpful to keep repressive governments in power by diverting anger of the people towards a external source: Israel |
You mean all those countries that signed peace accords with Israel, and recognized it's right to exist? It's a long and complicated answer, and it goes back to the last days of World War One. I'll try and make it simplified. The Brit's promised Palestine (this is debated) and Transjordan to the Arabs, for an independent Arab homeland, in return for revolting against the Ottoman Empire. Not long after that the Brit's told the Zionists that they looked with favor upon the creation of a Jewish homeland in Palestine. Long story short, many in the Middle East see Israel as a living example of the West's interference in their internal affairs. Israel makes a convenient whipping boy whenever people start to question their oppressive gov'ts - just trot out Israel. |
Well I wasn't aware they signed a peace agreement. But it hits the news at least once a month. Some middle eastern country that refuses to recognize them is banging on their war drum chanting down with Israel. |
|
Go ask an Arab....Your chance of getting an "intelligent" answer are slim and none. On a broader scope, I can't stand the Middle East in general. Its a money pit for the US Taxpayer (for both the Jews and Arabs). We have been pouring money into that toilet since 1948. Time to turn off the spigot and let them all sort it out. |
Look what the Jews have been thru, yet, some of the most liberal, high profile people in this country are Jews ---- demanding more gun control. "Just doesn't make sense". I know why the people in the middle-east hate them --- they hate everybody, including themselves. Go figure. ![]() ![]() ![]()

and there it is... |
+1 Kent State was a good start.... |
Here are some documents to read over, for those interested Hussein-McMahon Correspondence of 1915 Sykes-Picot Agreement of 1916 Balfour Declaration of 1917 Churchill White Paper of 1922 |
Are you saying that IMI was...cheap...with the finish? I don't 'hate' Israel, but I wish the silly bastards would stop testing the limits of US patience with their whole 'lets sell military technology to China' bit. |
|
Because of all the money and military wares we've given them. Is that legitimate enough?
If saying that shit doesn't make you a low life I don't know what does. |

The Arabs didn't have much of a problem with the Jews until they started immigrating to Palestine, encouraged by the Zionist movement, around the turn of the century. The Jewish exodus became larger after WWII. Europe on the other hand, has had a history being anti-Semitic. Jews were viewed as being outsiders in every Nation and they were outsiders by choice, they didn't assimilate much. They were money brokers because nobody would hire them. People became jealous of their percieved wealth. You can't blame the Jews for wanting a seperate homeland for themselves because every nation on Earth has treated them poorly. On the other hand...How would you feel if a bunch of illegal (and they were illegal in the late '40s) moved into your state and decide to create a seperate country that was favorable to themselves. Maybe the people in the south/west can understand. I know I'll get flamed for not being on the Jewish bandwagon and the Arabs are not innocent either. Whatever. |
Pretty fair assesment. |
That's quite a comment considering that, nearly 200 years after the birth of Christ, Rabbis were still arguing over when it was acceptable to sacrifice your children to the pagan god Molech. MISHNA VIII.: If one gives one of his children to Molech, he is not guilty unless he had transferred him to the servants of Molech and let him pass through the fire. If, however, he had transferred and not passed through the fire, or vice versa, he is not guilty. According to the Mishna, you can give your child to the priests of Molech to be sacrificed as long as they didn't burn the child to death (as was the common practice in offering sacrifices to Molech) or you can burn the child to death yourself. Either way, you were exempt from punishment. |
Meanwhile ask a white protestant american so you can get the gospel truth that you can take to the bank. Way to show your ass... |
I think so too. I wish, however, that we offered them southern Florida and said wait here for your messiah. He'll bring you back to Israel and he'll cover your six. ![]() |
Let's see............illegal Jewish settlers turned a third world shithole desert into a thriving agricutural region along with being a first rate society and military. Illegal immigrants in this country want to turn it into the third world shithole they came from. Not hardly an accurate analogy. |
So, you condone murder of those who disagree with you, huh. |
|
Here's a thought . Let's pretend . Pretend that instead of being an American , you'r an Arab . Pretend that those people crossing your Southern border aren't Mexican , they are Jews . Would you be pissed ? Yeah , you know you would . There really is two sides to every story . Most of the time , the truth lies somewhere in the middle . |
Yeah, you're right. I guess that if a couple dozen people force you to leave your home it's okay as long as they put on new siding, fix the mail box and plant some pretty flowers...gee, what was I thinking
|
You conveniently left out the part about some of those Jewish "settlers" using terrorism to achieve their goals. Irgun Lehi |
That conveniently was not part of the question at hand, but we knew the Jew haters would bring it up eventually. |
The region was not even a fucking country at the end of WWII. That is a major difference and kinda makes your analogy go B-SPLAT! |
It was a British Mandate, and the Arabs had been promised that Palestine and Transjordan would be independent nations. |

I don't hate Israel. I side with them, even tho I was raised Roman Catholic. They have my utmost respect standing up to the <Ethnic slur removed. --tbk1> llike they do. (Yes, I have the right to call them <Same ethnic slur removed. --tbk1>, and I don't at all feel "racist" saying it.) I've seen how the Izzies operate up close and personal. Balls to the wall, and take no prisoners. If only we could operate like that n the Mid-East. <When you get big and have your own forum board you will have the "right" to say what you please. When you are a guest here you will obey the rules set forth by the owners of this site. --tbk1> |
| Guess I'll be the one to say it then. I have a swimming pool service business, I have some Jewish customers, they are ALL a major pain in the ass. I really believe they think they can take money with them when they die. I got into an arguement with an 80+ yo Jewish woman that I have had on account for 10 years over a $3 charge. She needed a $3 chemical put in her pool and I added it, she wrote me a 2 page letter explaining why she shouldn't have to pay for it. This woman has a 2.6 million condo on the Las Vegas Strip she or anyone else has never lived in, the house I service is easily a 5 million dollar house. a $3 charge is what this woman is concerned about. That is just the tip of the iceberg in stories I have of customers in my business. I'll take an athiest or Christian customer anyday over a Jewish customer. |
AGNTSA It was called Palestine by the Romans, the Byzantines, the British, the French, and everyone else. The term "Palestine" derives from the word Philistine, the name of a non-Semitic ethnic group, originating from Southern Greece, closely related to early Mycenaean civilization. They inhabited a smaller area on the southern coast, called Philistia, whose borders approximate the modern Gaza Strip. British writers of the 19th century and very early 20th century sometimes referred to the Arabs of Palestine as "Philistines". This was apparently not due to a belief in a strong connection with the ancient Philistines, but merely reflects the former convention that "Philistine" simply denotes "native of Palestine". Stating that there is no such thing as Palestine or Palestinians is historically dishonest. |
I have read this post three times and I still have no idea what you are trying to say. Could you please explain? |
It was a province of Rome, and was named Syria Palaestina in the 2nd century AD. Also, by your logic, there is no such thing as an Israeli, since Jews have been kicked out of nearly every European country at some point in history. |
