Vent here people, so you can warn others from venturing into the forum that is maintained by at least one unfair and miserable moderator.. Yes, his mightiness is called : btown02 on that forum and he hounds free thought, can not handle ANY criticism, and acts liek he is god over there. Just watch this thread they have and they are talking about themselves being NAZI's and crap.. WTH is wrong with them? I agree the Nazi thread was a little foolish and perhaps not well thought out as they seemed to be enjoying being called that a little too much for my taste. However, maybe I'm reading too much into it? However, I think the fivesevenforum is a fair forum for the most part they just try to do their best to keep out unfounded and bad information. It is one thing to make an informed argument with cited references against the 5.7x28mm round it is another thing all together to blast the 5.7x28mm as a some type of BB gun round. |
To me, it's a very interesting system. I wouldn't mind having it for the novelty factor, and I wouldn't hesitate to use it to defend myself. However, it's just not out there in large enough numbers to be really practical. I can go anywhere and find parts for my AR and 1911. Not so much a PS90 and FSN. |

I have two 5.7 firearms, the PS90 and the 57 pistol, and love them. Defenately my SHTF weapon to grab. I just want to alert people to that terrible forum over there. If they didn't have an azz as a moderator and if the owner actually cared and replied to emails about unfair acts on his and their parts, that site would be a great place to visit. But....It's not. No wonder they only have 4 sponsors, and there are only like 8 people ever posting on that board. ROFL.. Also I've read where they like to put down the ar15 forum, so they are just jealous. ps.. I didn't open this thread to discuss the 5.7 caliber's abilities etc. I think it is a great little round , mean as hell if used correctly. Lets keep this thread on track.

Really? Like that absurdly misleading list of agencies that use eithe rhte 5.7 handgun or P90? How about the moderators who make claims as if they are facts of which agencies use said weapons. How about when they are called out for either their incorrect info, or down right falsehoods, they ban you? Sound fair to you. BTW, I was banned because I said Dallas PD doesnt use any weapons in 5.7x28. Not only that, but I am an admitted "dis-liker" of said round. On a completely different firearms forum, I was debunking the arguments and myths brought forth one by one, apparently this was "the main reason" I was banned. Good riddance! Its pretty fucking cowardly that they ban you for what you say on other forums, but they are too chickenshit to argue with you. No instead they ban you, and talk shit on their forum so you cant respond. Fuck them. Fuck that board. Fuck the mod you had problems with. Fuck the one I had problems with, with the one you had problems with.
You are correct. But it is scientifically proven not to be what it is claimed to be. Not even with restricted ammo. However I wont jack high this thread, but I will reference you to Tactical Forums and beg of you to do some research. |

Bullshit. Its fine to disagree, and for the most part the discussion that comes with disagreemnets is encouraged here. However, when you have mods on an outright power trip, who cant digest that someone would not only disagree with them, but discuss it, you have problems. They didnt like it when I told the Dallas, Arlington, Ft Worth, and Austin PD doesnt use said weapons. I was banned. They claimed it was a discussion I was having on another board that got me banned. Like that isnt any less chickenshit! |

The FiveSeven forum has always been a refuge for mouthbreathing fanboys who are obsessed with their poodle-shooter. When I posted the Buick O Truth I got insane ammounts of hate directed at me by a bunch of P90 fanboys who accused me of being a liar on top of many other nasty things.... When other ARFCOMers and folks who attended the same training I did confirmed what I said, and when a SWAT team member whose department has more gunfighting experience with the P90 than anyone else in the country backed up what I said, all of that was some grand conspiracy and that there was no "proof" of what I said. P99guy is one of the worst. He and a few other fanboys are on this site as well, though I haven't heard from them in a while. |
No. Anyone who ignores every bit of scientific testing done on the weapon and who then spends their time badmouthing and insulting people who say ANYTHING negative about the weapon despite the person giving absolutely correct facts about the weapon's FAILURES in ACTUAL firefights qualifies as a fanboy. Anyone who disagrees with reality, throws up a list of departments who "use" the weapon (when I happen to know that at least ONE of the departments on that list does not employ the P90 except in limited circumstances).....those are the fanboys worthy of being ignored. It would be nice to have a balance. Do the guys over at fivesevenforum go to far? Sure, sometimes they may go a little overboard on the threats when they should just close out the thread and move on. However, I have to say there are those that hate FN and the 5.7x28mm with a passion. I mean guys that would like to convince you the 5.7x28mm is inferior to the 9mm and even the .22. I've seen 5.7 discussions turn into personal insult threads. I like the fivesevenforum because they are the best source for 5.7x28mm information and I can always read obscure studies of older R&D 5.7 rounds and other stuff from other websites. In the end if you take everything someone or some forum tells you to the bank you are an idiot. Have to do your own research in this world and come to your own conclusions. |
I've been in and around forums for many , many years and by far that is the most overmoderated and power-obsessed bunch there. You might not frequest the place enough to see the threads and discussions they have closed and erased before most of the members even knew there was anything going on over there. Also they make personal and private insults and threaths in PMs after they delete the post so you can't even plead your case and let the other members know of the unfair acts of those morons. Like I said before. Just warning other people and letting them know not to DARE disagree with those guys over there or they'll start sending you nasty IM's and delete your threads and ban you. They don't care, nor should we about the site. Also any and ALL info they have posted can be found on the numerous other websites and forums on the web, so it's not like there is anything special about that place. I signed up to get in touch with other ps90 lovers out there and was dissapointed by the rudeness and childishness of those guys. |

This is what turned me off to the site as well, god forbid i ask a question regarding a certain department using the P90 or 5.7 pistol, how dare me questrion FNMAN!!! Even tho i now know for fact that i was corect and there list was wrong seeing as how i got the information directly from the motorcycle ubit they report is su pposed to be using them both. I have often considered geting back on and "questioning FNMAN" just to prove a point lol. |

That is what happened to me. They deleted a thread I replied in giving advice to someone. I backed up my info with references, etc, but it did not go with the party line so it was deleted and I was banished. Now how in the world is letting members know that Bass Pro has a sale on 5.7x28 bad at all??? I would think that would be a nice gesture to help out your fellow shooters. Guess I don't think enough like them  That forum reminds me of North Korea... |
