| Whooptie freaking doo. I want my money back. |
I have yet to dump a beer or give one away. (sorry) I plan on drinking all of them during the month. 6 pack a month, whoo hoo party animal. Its not the worst but I guess my expectations were too high. I am going to pop open a Chimay for penance. Hopefully I can raise a baby mouse in the bottle then return it when its bigger an get free beer for the rest of my life. I like having a FEW seasonal brews. Reminds me of home. I don't know how many European countries do it, but in Denmark the big breweries have seasonal beers, and it's a big deal. The most important of them are the Christmas brews and the Easter brews. I believe it was last Friday that the two major breweries in Denmark (Carlsberg and Tuborg) released their Christmas brews. Police departments are extra-busy that day, and call in extra officers for patrolling the roads and setting up sobriety checkpoints. The Easter brews are also very popular - I knew people in Denmark who would buy crates and crates of it, and store it in their basement so they could have them for a long as possible. The seasonal brews tend to be stronger (and richer) than the regular beers. But I agree with you that having lots and lots of "special" brews for all sorts of different seasons gets a little silly. |
Interesting, thanks for the education. |
