| I just downloaded and installed it. Does anyone know how to get it to look like the old version? Thanks. |

add /remove programs, uninstall 6 should be right back where it was when 7 is gone. edit to add: if you want to keep 7 and have it look like 6, I have no idea. I am just getting used to 7 on one of my machines before I put it on the rest. I have had no issues or conflicts, unlike others who have had problems. |
Everytime Microsoft releases a major update, forums everywhere are full of people saying "No way I'm I gonna use it, the old one was way better, blah blah". A year later, most everybody is using it. ![]() In my case, I can't just yet because a few applications I use at work will not work with IE7 (and one of them isn't even a web application, interestingly). But when this is resolved (and it will be), I'll be using IE7 happily. I really like it. |
If you right click the menu bar area at the top of the screen, you can click MENU BAR to bring up the old familar menu system for the top like in IE6. For some reason, it is defaulted off. |
Found it. It's under "Interenet Options" in the control panel. Go to the "Advanced" tab and disable the clear text function. Clear text is for LCD monitors. Mines a CRT so clesr text looks funny. |

Had windows vista rc1 running for a few month's but still installed firefox and used that and just did not like the layout of ie 7..............so far firefox still has the same look even after its updated . Now running Ubuntu 6.10 linux and VMware server which is free now and works great unlike the older retail VMware 5.something I have tried before . Running windows 2000 in vmware for all those windows apps I still have to use from time to time. I got to thinking that I would mainly run windows for the games but I did not even install any the last time I installed windows and just have not had the urge for games lately and linux is still fun to mess with. |
