So last year I bought a Dell laptop that has the ability to watch tv on it. When I use Windows media player to watch DVD's , it shows the feature so I know I'm not crazy.

What do I need in order to watch cable tv on it or any tv? There has to be some adaptor or something.

You need your computer to have a video input plug, and a matching cable for a video output on your cable box, VCR, DVD player, or other source of interest.

Is there a wireless router or something for this ? Seems weird how I would have to have my laptop plugged into the wall.
