Right now I'm listening to Ravel's Bolero.  Can't get enough of it.  Odd, because the other stuff I've been playing the hell out of lately is Saliva (been on a bit of a metal kick).  Can anyone point me in the direction of some more good classical music, especially with a martial beat?

Check out Paul Hindemith's "Variations on a Theme of Carl Maria von Weber" - the fourth movement in particular is a very spirited "militaristic" march.

Try Gustav Holst's "The Planets" which opens with "Mars, Bringer of War."

Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" complete with cannon fire.  I prefer the version with the choral hymn at the beginning.

That's a start.

I don't know that it has a martial beat, but check out Rimsky Korsakov's Scheherazade.
