I have only had one computer in my life. The 8-9 year old Packard Bell I'm useing right now. I have Sprint DSL. My wife ordered some combo deal off Shop NBC or something. An Acer Aspire 3690 notebook, a Netgear 54 Mbps Wireless Router (WGR614), and a Lexmark printer. Great, now I can surf AR15.come from the comfort of my bed. I need some slow step by step help setting this up. First I want to get the notebook working online then I will worry about the router. I think that is how I should do it, correct? Should I put the DSL disc in the notebook, hook it to the modem, and go through the steps? Will that work seeing how I already have it set up on another computer? Can you just plug different computers into the modem and they will work? |
