Anyone know the least destructive way to remove rust spots from a gun? I moved and had to put a few guns in storage for a while. I did the wrong thing and put them in padded cases before storing them. I know now that's the wrong thing to do. I have several blued guns with rust spots on the barrels and even one stainless one with one large rust spot on top of the barrel. None of the damage is bad enough to affect the operation of the guns, but it sure sucks to have a rust spot or two on the barrels. Are there any chemical type rust removers or reblueing products that I can use. Fine emery and steel wool is only going to make a bigger spot to deal with. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me!
