I need a new (read bigger) one.
Any thoughts?
I don't want to pay for fancy stuff; just a good old children, burgler, wife, proof safe to put a few black rifles in.

My advise is get the best safe you can afford.  I have decent gun collection, nothing of great value but I have some hand guns that are no longer produced that I could not replace regardless of what the insurance paid out.

Sit down and put a dollar value as best you can to the guns you own.  I was amazed when I did this and that my modest collection added up to a lot of money invested.  Don't forget things like expensive scopes such as a ACOG, Surefire weapon lights, EOtech, etc.

Buying a good safe just made sense at that point.  The peace of mind alone is worth the cost
