The one in the politics forum is heading south to the religious side, so here we go.

What is going to happen?  Post your local, and state results.

I recieved a call from a company to whom I had previously submitted a job application today. I was invited to return for another interview tomorrow morning at 0930. I cannot decide whether to vote prior to going to the interview or afterward. I hope that I can decide for whom to vote before I get to the polling place. If not then I will employ the eenie meenie minee moe method of participating in the electoral process. I will probably not include moe though. Moe is a democrat and we just don't need no moe. Any moe.

Local:

Legalizing Beer and Wine sales are the biggest local issue in my area.

State:

Governor Perry will be re-elected. Kinky Freidman and Carol Keeton Strayhorn will finally go away.

Kay Baliey Hutchinson will be re-elected.

National:

Allen will win in Virgina.

Steele will win in Maryland.

Santorum will lose.

Overall, Republicans keep the Senate by a 1 or two seat margin.

Dems may win the house.

There are "dry counties" in Texas?  What's up with that.  I thought us Bible Belt folks were the only ones who had to deal with that lunacy.

Voted no on the marriage amendment, no vote on Amendement #2 and No for Amendment #3

Actually even if the Dems win they are more likely to launch investigations into the Bush administration than actually legislate.

The Narragansett Indian Tribe here in Rhode Island is working with Harrah's to get a casino opened in Rhode Island.  Tons of opposition.

I voted to approve.

Keep the money here, instead of all the New Englanders going instead to Connecticut's Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods.

I don't think it will pass, though.  But every vote counts.

Yup and then they will scream to high heaven about the evil liberals taking their rights away.

In California (and I'm guessing plenty of other places) you can buy liquor at a Walmart, in Texas you can only buy it in wet counties between certain hours on weekdays and Saturday in a liquor store only.  No immoral liquor to be bought on God's holy day.  They also shut down ALL car dealerships on Sunday.  Imagine the revenue lost from that.  Fucking retarded.

Yet on the flip side we can buy guns in Walmart (though that's apparently changing).

I think states like New Hampshire are better off on both counts.

I know for certain the Democrats will win the House seat in my District here in Kentucky...the Republicans didn't even put a name on the ballot.  They currently hold the seat so there is no change in the overall numbers due to it.  No Senate election in Kentucky this year.

Just got this from the PA GOP - Go Rick!:

VICTORY 2006

Early reports from Erie to South Philly, From Wayne to Washington indicate that Republican turnout is greatly outperforming that of the Democrats.

50 yard long lines have been seen in Lancaster County, and Northern Bucks has long waits.

Springetsbury in York County is having troubles dealing with the early rush.

West Goshen in Chester County is seeing strong numbers.

OUR GET-OUT-THE-VOTE EFFORTS ARE THE STRONGEST THEY HAVE EVER BEEN!!!

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

I am seeing a lot more Republican signage in yards than I did during the last election. Seems like they are getting the word out more. Also saw one of the state representative candidates at my polling place...here in Bucks (typically a blue area) I am seeing more Republican campaigning than in the past. I think they could get this area with a little effort. We will see.

Not when you are throwing the House Republicans under the bus.  They are the ones who have been the most staunchly conservative.

Gridlock is only good when the President is a Democrat and horrible things are afoot.  Not the case today.  I would really like my tax cuts extended, thank you very much.

If I had to choose out of three (president, house, senate), I'd lose the House first. With the president, we get department heads for the various agencies and such, and (presumably) good nominees for SCOTUS and other federal benches. With the senate, we have a much better chance of actually approving those appointees/nominees.

I just voted and there was no line. Then to, I had to use Mapquest to find the school

Hopefully, the Republicans take it. Dems, on average, are too lazy to leave their couch and vote. Sadly, many conservatives are also too lazy. This year is a great opportunity for conservatives - the question is - how many people care more about their future enough to invest 5 minutes into it.

Just voted here in northern WI.  There was only one other guy there, hopefully it will pick up this afternoon.  Its a pretty small town.

Also got to use a electronic machine for the first time ever(used to be simple pencil and ballot).  I didn't have any trouble figuring it out, pretty simple if you ask me.  And the printed record was a nice plus.

As a GUNOWNER and freedom loving American, faced with THIS president and THIS set of RINO heavy senators, I would disagree.   The House of Representatives and Delay in particular are the ONLY reason we don't have a new AWBan, and the ONLY reason we don't have a nation wide "armor piercing ammo" ban (which would ban .22 mag on up).

That's not true. Nixon had a Dem Congress, they passed plenty of bad laws. Just one example of why the "divided gov" mantra is false.

Our current problem is that we have too many RINOs. The Senate is RINO, and if the House goes Dem we better pray Bush learns to veto . . .
