Radical Islam has declared war on - the Western Culture... Radical Islam has declared war on - Muslims that refute the radical agenda... Radical Islam has declared war on - ANYBODY THAT IS NOT OF THEIR GROUP. So..... how long before America is over-run by radical islamists, defended and protected by the libtard agenda of the democratic party, and the ass-kissing members of the republican party?? Do we need to actually discuss - "The Honorable 19"??? Do we need to actually discuss - "The Freedom Fighters"?? Do we need to actually discuss - "The Martyrs of Allah"?? America is a peace loving country (generally) that takes considerable goading to bring it to a fight. September 11 2001 was "almost" enough provocation, but it turns out not enough to distract some political elements from aiding the enemy in their quest to return to power. Eventually there will be enough provokation to arouse the country as a whole. Nuking of NY, Chicago, LA, etc = end of Islam as a political force on this planet. |

Point well made. Unfortunately these actions, while laudable, have been highly divisive to our country. Granted the divisiveness is fostered by fools (Socialist Left, or Democrats if you prefer). The massive retaliatory counterstrice necessary to finally rid the world of radical islam has not been taken, and the fear is that they will grow strong enough to hurt us much worse than 9/11. Many fault Bush for his handling of the American response so far (some say its too timid, some say its too much), but I notice that we are not in a worldwide depression caused by multiple nuclear strikes and disruption of trade, so in my ignorance of all the facts I would say his handling has been suffcient so far. Really though, taking out the Saudis is probably more important than taking out the Iranians, right now. |

Where are you getting your info? Last time I checked, we (the Armed Forces) were doing all we can trying to survive day to day from the attack of insurgents and are STILL getting soldiers and Marines killed almost DAILY. That's hardly "conquering" any country. All we've done is kicked the asses of the Iraqi Army, the Taliban and caught So-Damn Insane. That's it. No more, no less. The insurgents still rule in Iraq, the Taliban still causes problems in Afganistan, and Osama Your Momma is where? Still hiding in a fucking cave? To address your first point, it is only a matter of time until the next devastating attack. This despite the dilligent efforts (that have already thwarted numerous potential disasters) of our fine men and women in the FBI and CIA. Second, I enlisted in the Marines when I was 17. They rejected me on my 18th birthday back in 1987 due to a history of asthma as a child. Since then, I have played college football and 3 years semi-pro ball as a safety. I have a 3 year old son now who is my life, and would never leave him. However, if it got that bad and I had to go, I would do so and kill as many of those bastards as I possibly could. How about you, genius? |

With both previous world wars many of the worlds most powerful nations were already involved BEFORE America became engaged. When American finally became actively involved all of her allies welcomed her into the battle whole heartedly. And while there was some division at home, most of the American public were also firmly on the side of the government in power. This time it's different. Europe, for the most part, is not engaged, unless you consider the seemingly permanent, low level intifada the French government faces, which up till very recently, they wouldn't even admit existed. Most western governments have a high population of Muslims in the country already and feel it's too risky to become actively involved. Spain did, paid the price and ran screaming with their tail between their legs. How much longer will the UK remain in the fight? A year? Until Blair leaves? And he'll most likely be replaced with a liberal leader who will pull the troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan immediately and kowtow to the Islamofacists. Other western nations also fear an uprising among their own population too much to dare join in. And much of the population of those countries are against the GWOT. Recently polls were taken in some western nations and the USA was listed as the biggest threat to peace in the world. Ahead of Iran and North Korea. Plus the American public is highly divided, many of our own citizens (many with the loudest voices and the larger pulpits) see the USA herself as the real cause of the trouble and see Israel as the second largest cause. It's hard to fight a war when your own largest newspaper is printing your secret battle plans and with each new edition demoralizes your own people and provides comfort to the enemy. And our traditional adversaries will, despite Muslim problems of their own, take sides with our enemies because it weakens the US and they see that as a good thing. Short term thinking on their part, but it seems to be their SOP, at least for now. Also, we've got some other enemies that have grown bolder. Countries to the south of us are once again treading the path of Marxism and getting more and more belligerent. And our southern border is only protected by a small, however dedicated, police force. With the situation as it is right now it seems the USA can expect little help and much resistance in the GWOT if we decide to expand it. Old friends won't be there and will new "friends", like the governments in Afghanistan and Iraq join in the fight against fellow Muslims? I highly doubt it. I'm sorry, but the USA simply will not (and any government that tries will be voted out of office) expand the GWOT with little or no involvement from our traditional allies and firm resistance from our traditional enemies. If we weaken ourselves by fighting the GWOT on 4 or more fronts we're begging for Russia, China, NK or possibly a coalition of our southern enemies to test our strength and resolve. Until Russia and China remove their resistance and at least 2 or 3 of our major European allies (and possibly Japan) join into it in earnest I doubt we'll see any greater military involvement than we see right now, and most likely much less in the near future and the country votes Democrats back in power. It's a horrible situation and it's going to get worse before it gets better. |
I don't entirely disagree - there is a likelihood of there being an attack, but thats just the nature of the game. Al Qaeda is far more likely to concentrate their efforts on attacks against our guys in Iraq, as it is far easier to get to Iraq and attack, then it is to get people into America and succesfully carry off a large attack. the "solution" is to sit around circle-jerking thinking up the most unrealistic and childish responses. maybe we should pour liquified pork fat into the entire water system of the united states, then wait a couple weeks and broadcast it to the entire nation that the muzzies were not going to heaven now. yeah, thats it. if invading nations isnt a start i dont know what is. we are working with what we have and what we are able to legally do, and many in this nation think we have already overstepped quite a bit going this far with it. what a lot of people suggest about muslims here at home is dangerous talk, because what you wish on them could be used on you at a not so later date if you open up pandoras box and give the government the power to do so. should we invade a few more, like iran and syria? hell yes we should....but we simply dont have the resources because more people like to flap their lips in this country than enlist and do something. what we should be doing is keeping tabs on who is coming in and out of the country from muslim nations. they are the ones we can put pressure on because they are not citizens, and the odds are most likely the ones who are going to be involved in any plots against us. |
