I will be buying a new scope. It will probably be early spring/late winter time period, but I like to read about and study what I buy before I get stuff. The scope will be put on a Winchester model 70 in 270 Winchester. I use the gun mostly shooting rocks in the desert and for paper punching at the range, but I do go deer hunting. I currently have a 3-12 X 50 Tasco on it. It has held up great, but the image isn't as bright or as clear as I would like it to be. I am looking for a scope in the 3-12 or 4-16 range and don't really want to go above the mid 300's. So far the Bushnell elite 3200 and 4200 series looks like they fit what I am looking for. What other alternative do you recommend? Thought and opinions are welcome. Thanks. |
