Carry 5.3 most of the time but want a can for my car also. Gets cold this time of year.. How will a cold can perform. Should I not leave it in the car?

My experience is that it doesn't exit the canister with as much force when it gets really cold.

It probably affects the propellant (-).  Its also worse to get sprayed when it hot out and the target is sweating.  I've done the OC chamber twice in mid-summer and it was no joy.

Not enough to make a significant different in effectiveness.

As long as you hit the eyes, it won't matter much, but I carry mine on me, because stuff left in vehicles can see wide temperature varation, and it probably doesn't help the storage life.  I don't carry anything smaller than a four ounce canister, the large sizes seem to have a little more pressure anyway.
