| So Ive given up after getting over 4k undeliverable emails in the last two days. How do i reset it so nothing can survive and i can start over. If that don't fix it watch the news I'll be the one aiming the law at my isp. |
|
yup what he said, or , google spy bot serch and destroy, run and install it in safe mode, if it does not work start windows in safe mode, go into f8 at start up, boot from disk, format entire disk install fresh op system, beware!!! some of these robot/trojan horses cannot be removed , they will remove windown sub components so you cannot remove them... if that doesnt do it, its new hasrd drive time Hc |
They can ruin a disk spinner?
|
Thats funny....... |
what is funny about it???????????????????????????? it will remove an exicutable which is vital for windows to run properly, and or restore properly, ? i did not say it will remove parts of your hard drive , dont be a flaming idiot ??????? support.microsoft.com/kb/263455 read this to help remove. www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/[email protected] maybe if you could comprehend English you would not be writing dumb assed things, im just rying to help the guy, HC |
go to the microsoft web site and read about non removable virus/troan/worm , programs, they say if you cannot clean it out, " and you may not be able to remove the whole vius etc etc etc, that you will need a new hard drive, I run a anti virus set up for cisco, Symantec Anti-virus for enterprise servers., and it doesnt remove everything. infact it is one of the most complete anti virus suits YOU CANT BUY, and the last trojan infestation i saw defeted it, it completely disabled its virus library and changed the reg of the program, , im sorry if your comp USA training doesnt teach you that stuff duhhhhhhh dumb ass. Here are some free online scanners maybe they will work. Sometimes they work sometimes not. housecall.trendmicro.com/ www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan? |
On my Dell laptop, if you hit F11 while the blue bar with "www.dell.com" is on the screen, it will re-install your OS and reset everything to how it came from the factory. Then get ready to re-install all the updates!![]() I had to nuke my machine twice with this method. |
|
Another free scanner link. This one from Microsoft. It's pretty good, and does some basic maintenance functions as well. safety.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm?s_cid=sah ETA: do the full service scan. |
Did you even bother to read the last thread you started? ![]()
You've got "virus" on the brain. That's not your problem - get over it. A spammer is forging your email address in the ReturnPath:. My advice is to follow the instructions of Dell's Bombay Tech-Support and go ahead and format your drive to wipe out everything, then spend hours restoring, reinstalling, and reconfiguring your PC. Of course, as soon as you restart your mail client these very same bounced emails will again start flooding into your inbox and you'll have accomplished absolutely nothing, but at least the rest of us will get a good laugh out of your mistakes. ![]() Or you could just change your email address, but that would be too easy. |
|
Yes i did read it and the isp is fixing it, figured it was best to start over. I really don't want to change my email it would take me a week to change it on the forums. |
|
KLInc you numb nuted neutered weasel I DID NOT SAY HARD DRIVE FALURE!!!!! YOU STILL CANNOT READ AND COMPREHEND ENGLISH ![]() there is a class of trojan virus, etc etc etc designed to place certain files on your disc, and they ( the virus, etc) change the drive sectors stoping you from reinstalling a new op sys, DUHHHHH 1 more time, maybe you went to the same tech school as al gore, or that korean profesor that didnt clone the sheep |
Wow.... Just going by what you said.... Here I will refresh your memories
Now I am jsut guessing that you ment hard drive due to the spelling error, but maybe you ment something different. Who the hell is attacking who here. I knew dealing with DBA's were a PITA, but damn man you are giving me second thoughts on "Cisco guys". |
